Working Client Till I get up a new Website

Works been quite busy lately so haven't had a good chance to tackle the website.  Hopefully this weekend can get everything together.  In the meantime, I've got a version working that doesn't rely on the website but this means download counts and ratings don't work.

  1. There is a problem with Java 64bit.
If i had installed Java 32bit, the jar is running as well, but if i install the 64bit Version of Java, it says: Could not find the Mainclass...
    How does it come?

    1. Download the swt.jar for your OS and bit-type (32 is x86 and 64 is x86_64) to fix this. Downloads can be found here: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.7.1-201109091335/index.php#SWT. extract swt.jar to the adventurecraft file and that should fix it for now.

  7. I clicked the link, and it gave me an adventurecraft .zip, so I unzipped it and it gave me the adventurecraft folder. When I clicked the "Adventurecraft.jar" it said that it couldn't open the program. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.....will there be a more streightforward amendment to all of these troubles in the future that I can wait for? Or is this how adventurecraft is going to be for a while?

    1. usually people say to run 'adventurecraft.jar' but i never did that step and it wants me to try to open jar folders with winrar, i just ran adventurecraft.exe and updated and works just fine (adventurecraft - r1095)

      Delete
    2. When I tried to click and run the .exe it gave me the error message "The contents of the file 'Adventurecraft.exe' can not be extracted with this program." By "this program" I assume it is refering to the unarcheiver, as it is the only program that can run it in the "open with..." menu. Is there some other program I need to download to "extract the contents of this file?"

  14. Hey
Really appreciate the effort put into this and changing hosts for adventure craft and stuff.
This is probably the wrong place to post this but I noticed a bug in r0195 where the weather blocks aren't working for me. Even in the Mayan Temple level, it starts off in the day instead of at night. tried re-installing and using fresh minecraft.jars, but nothing is fixing it!
BTW. my friend also has this problem, but i can't find forums about it.

Thanks again for all the hard work put into adventurecraft and will look forward to seeing new features soon!

  15. When I try to open the .jar file it just says "The Java JAR file "adventure craft.jar" could not be launched, check console for possible error messages." then it just closes and i can't seem to even open the jar file.

  18. I'm running Mac OS Snow Leopard, and from what I understand, it normally has no issues running. However, using the client you listed here, I can't seem to be able to fire up the client, but using the one I downloaded here http://www.mediafire.com/?7bi9o5gpz8uz9yv I can access the blog, but not "Install Via Login". Any solutions?

    1. I think it is because that is the beta 1.6.6 version of AC. "Install via login" is looking to download beta 1.6.6 but minecraft is 1.1. I will have to test to make sure. If the new launcher is giving you trouble I posted a fix on here that might do the trick. Best of luck.

    2. Let's see if this posts... I apologize if I'm being irritating or something to that extent, but I really want to know how to fix this, and I want to make sure I can see my comment.

AdventureCraft.jar won't even launch on the one you listed. any suggestions?

  19. Why havent you upgraded the client to 1.1?? At least you could do is upgrade blocks so we could have decent maps.. and possibility to download them so they wouldn't be screwed up when we load because there is stone brick wall missing in 1.7

  20. Tried Link's fix, to no avail, it seems to delete swt or modify it in some way, as it changes the size of the swt.jar file. No idea why it's doing this, and I don't want to try fixing it by decompiling adventurecraft.jar if that's even the cause. Any ideas?

  24. I would appreciate an "update on progress" if you know what I mean. If you have the time of course...

  25. You should Focus on an update for minecraft version 1.2.3 rather than a new website

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That would be pointless, the launcher needs the website to fuction properly, and all the 1.2.3 update would do is backpatch 1.2.3 to Beta 1.7.3 like all the other versions since 1.7.3 have. The fix people used to get it to work still leaves map downloads offline.
